Plans for 2000
WARSAW, POLAND - At their recent meeting here,representatives
of SYNDESMOS member move-ments in Central Europe announced the following
calendar of events for the year 2000.
o 10-12 March/ A seminar titled "Bible and Culture"
was held in the Minsk region of Belarus,
organised by the Konstantin Ostrozhski Fellowship of Orthodox Youth.
o 6-7 May/ Seminar titled "Eucharist," Minsk
region, Belarus, organised by the Konstantin Ostrozhski Fellowship
of Orthodox Youth.
o 29 May-2 June/ Programme for foreign guests before
the pilgrimage to the Holy Mountain of
Grabarka, Poland, sponsored by the Fellowship of Orthodox Youth in
Poland.
o 24-25 July/ Pilgrimage to the relics of the Holy Martyrs
of Vilnya, Vilnius, Lithuania, cosponsored by
the Belarusian Orthodox Fellowship of the Three Vilnya Martyrs, Minsk,
Belarus, and the Saint
Euphrosynia of Polotsk Orthodox Society of ReligiousEnlightenment,
Vilnius, Lithuania.
o 28-30 July/ Celebration of the 20th Anniversary of
the Fellowship of Orthodox Youth in Poland,
Bialowieza, Poland.
o 1-10 August/ SYNDESMOS Summer Institute, Suprasl,
Poland, cosponsored by SYNDESMOS
and the Fellowship of Orthodox Youth in Poland.
o 11 September/ Pilgrimage to the Monastery in Ladomirovo,
Slovakia, sponsored by the Fellow-ship
of Orthodox Youth in Slovakia.
o 23-28 September/ SYNDESMOS Central Europe regional
meeting, Zhirovitchi, Belarus, organised
by the Minsk Theological Seminary and Academy, the Theological Faculty
of European Humanitarian
University, Minsk; and the Belarusian Orthodox Fellowship of the Three
Vilnya Martyrs.
o Date to be announced/ Youth leadership training seminar,
Cieplice, Poland, organised by the
Fellowship of Orthodox Youth in Poland. Central European SYNDESMOS
