SYNDESMOS Youth Encounter “Being witnesses of Christ today”
Dates: 19th-22th of February 2010 Place: Brussels, Belgium
Event description: What are the challenges of being a Christian today? Does secularization weaken or strengthen our Christian identity ? How much our cultural, national or social context can affect our Church live? How can we witness the Joy of the Resurrection in a world suffering from pain, illnesses, poverty, catastrophes, wars and hunger? Living in different countries, in different societies, with different histories, cultures, economical systems, languages, ways of life, etc. how deep do we live the unity of the Church? It is through various activities (talks, workshops, walks, visit of Brussels, games, Bible studies, prayers, entertainments) that these questions and others will be discussed.
Syndesmos meetings are unique opportunities to get to know Orthodox youth from various local Churches, all over the world and share experience.
