SYNDESMOS is composed of Orthodox Christian youth organizations whose membership is blessed by their local Bishop. SYNDESMOS is its members, and is currently made up of 126 youth movements and theological schools worldwide.

Members may belong to one of three categories of membership in SYNDESMOS
1) Affiliated
2) Federated
3) Associated

Affiliated members
Orthodox youth movements with an active youth involvement, or student bodies / faculties of Orthodox theological institutions.

Federated members
Oriental Orthodox youth movements with an active youth involvement, or student bodies / faculties of Oriental Orthodox theological institutions.

Associated members
Orthodox organizations which have not (yet) fulfilled the requirements for Affiliated or Federated membership, or which desire to remain Associate members in any case; organizations whose aim and objective correspond with that of SYNDESMOS, although they are not primarily youth organizations.

Applications for membership in SYNDESMOS are made through the General Secretariat, using the Membership Application Form.
