To be a 'bond of unity' (in Greek: syndesmos) between Orthodox youth groups around the world, and to organize and aid such groups wherever possible | |

To promote further collaboration between Orthodox theological schools, seminaries and faculties | |

To encourage a deeper understanding of the Orthodox faith among Orthodox youth, and a common vision of the tasks of the Church in the modern world | |

To assist Orthodox youth in their relations with other Christians and with people of other faiths | |

To be a special instrument of understanding with the Oriental Orthodox Churches through common youth activities | |
