Board of Administration

We, the Board of Administration of SYNDESMOS, are fifteen voluntary Orthodox Christian members, elected by the General Assembly of SYNDESMOS, with the purpose to serve as best we can the aims of the fellowship. We strive to represent all the member movements of SYNDESMOS as a whole, and are concerned for the welfare of all Orthodox youth worldwide. For practical purposes, the so-called 'regional representatives' are given the responsibility to be close to the Orthodox youth movements in their particular region, and to represent them. In reality, all Board members strive to share the same concern for members of the Church within or outside of their region.

We meet at least once a year, for an intense five-day period, during which we discuss many matters related to our lives in the Church, and how to better serve the Church and her youth in SYNDESMOS

General Secretariat

The General Secretariat is the administrative centre of SYNDESMOS. Its main role is to coordinate the efforts of SYNDESMOS members, so that member movements may grow to know each-other better. The overall coordination of the activities of SYNDESMOS, as they appear on the Calendar of Events each year, takes place from the Secretariat, as do all other administrative aspects of the work of SYNDESMOS.

The General Secretariat does not have a fixed base. It has been located in Athens, Greece since the start of 2000. Before being transferred to Greece, it was located in Bialystok, Poland from 1995 - 2000, and Paris, France from 1992 - 1995.

The Secretary General, Mr Tsimouris Spyros is employed by the Board of Administration of SYNDESMOS to manage the General Secretariat.
