You were Transfigured on the Mountain, and Your Disciples beheld Your glory, O Christ God, as far as they were able; that when they saw you crucified, They might know that Your suffering was voluntary, And would proclaim to the world, That You are truly the brightness of the Father!

Descent of the Holy Spirit

"The ascension of the Lord, his going up to the Father, is the Trinitarian epiclesis of the Son who asks the Father to send down the Holy Spirit.” Jesus explicitly said before He returned to the Father that He would ask Him to send the Paraclete, the Spirit of Truth, who would dwell within his disciples and teach them all they still needed to know.

When you had fufilled the dispenation for our sake and united things on earth with things in heaven, you were taken up in Glory, Christ our God, in no way divided, but remaining inseperable, you cried to those who loved you, "I am with you, and there is no against you".
